Realizing a first-class global institute in the field of livestock breeding – that is the ambition of Breed4Food. In 2012 this initiative arose out of a group of four Netherlands-based animal breeding companies that joined hands with Wageningen University & Research center (Wageningen UR). Hendrix Genetics is one of those partners. “Our joint brainpower is significantly larger and that will eventually have a positive impact on each company individually,” explains Abe Huisman, research geneticist and one of the persons involved from Hendrix Genetics.
In November 2012 Hybrid Turkeys held a contest at Eurotier in Hanover, Germany, where 3 lucky Growers won a trip to France.
