Leadership realignment to best service the turkey industry

Significant investment into Grand Parent and Parent Stock farms, hatcheries and new transportation technology reflects our commitment to the future success of the turkey industry.  As our business evolves and grows, so does our customer interaction.  We are pleased to communicate a leadership realignment to best utilize our strengths.

Global Changes

Peter Gruhl has accepted the role of Director, Global Customer Services & Support.  Peter is well-known to the global turkey industry and an expert in all areas of turkey production.  Peter possesses a unique understanding of production systems and technology from around the world.  In his new role, Peter extends his focus to support our global customer base and will facilitate sharing of this global knowledge.

Scott Rowland has accepted the role of Director, Operational Excellence. Scott’s 27 years with the organization is highlighted by a strong background in operational management.  Scott’s leadership contributed to the eradication of salmonella, Hybrid’s renowned high-health status, and production expansion in both Europe and USA.   In this new role, Scott will focus on asset management and the implementation of operational excellence. This includes productivity benchmarking and global quality within the turkey business unit.

Changes within the Americas Region

Jeff McDowell joins as General Manager, Americas, as announced in February, 2018. Jeff joins Hybrid Turkeys with an extensive background in the poultry value chain and is a Certified Management Accountant. In this role, Jeff oversees all activities including operations and sales for the Turkey Business within the Americas region.

Trevor Aitchison has accepted the newly created role of Director, Sales & Supply Chain.  Trevor’s career spans 25 years with Hybrid Turkeys in various roles within farm operations, planning, logistics, and sales.  Within the Americas, Trevor leads and supports commercial efforts for the primary breeder business and the commercial poult business. As well, Trevor maintains responsibility for global planning and optimization within the turkey business of Hendrix Genetics

Tom Knapp has accepted the newly created role of Technical Services & Analytics Manager.  This role will focus on servicing customers in the Americas region in addition to collaboration with the Global Customer Services team. After 9 years with Agri Stats, Tom joined Hybrid Turkeys as US Accounts Manager in 2015.  Tom’s vast experience in statistics and analysis of data coupled with a lifetime of turkey production and management make this role a natural fit.
