About James

Role: Technical Support Specialist

Location: South Carolina, USA

Areas of Expertise: Breeder management, Practical management

"I'm a simple man," says James Bittle, "I love my God, my country, and my family." He may be humble, but James is a hard-working, force of nature who brings an immense level of dedication and expertise for our customers.

Throughout high school and college, James began building his experience working in the turkey barns. He worked for Cuddy Farms in North Carolina, managing grow farms and lay farms, and later worked his way to breeder management and live ops management. He also retired from the military and is proud to be a veteran.

In 2018, James joined Hybrid Turkeys as Technical Service Specialist, although he sees his role as slightly different than traditional technical service. When working with our customers, James likes to get his hands dirty and work side by side with the people running the operations.

He says this is the best way he can help our customers is to get in the action and see firsthand how they run their farms. "I go in trying to figure out how our bird will work best in their system," he says, "I look at what can we do to achieve the best performance with what's there." With this pragmatic approach, along with a respectful, hardworking attitude, James is able to help our customers achieve impressive results and get the best value possible.

Outside work, James has five antique vehicles he enjoys working on, loves to hunt and fish, and is always recognizable in his KC red. James' dedication, expertise, and positive attitude set him apart as a key member of our team and important resource for our customers.
