It Takes a Village: Nourishing Young Minds Through Community Giving Efforts
Addressing the global food challenge through high-quality genetics is at the heart of our company's mission. With food insecurity continuing to rise, our employees feel a strong connection to providing healthy, accessible protein. Our local charitable giving initiatives provide another meaningful way to contribute and make a difference in our community.
Each year, the team at Hendrix Genetics in Ontario, Canada runs a community giving campaign to support two local programs: Nutrition for Learning and Food and Friends. These programs work within the communities where our employees live and work to provide open access to nutritious food for students.
Through the generosity of our employees (together with a company match), we have raised and pledged $75,992 to our partners for the 2024-2025 school year! This is truly an incredible achievement that will make a difference in our communities and help to nourish young minds.

For many years, the Hendrix Genetics annual employee campaign has been one of our most consistent sources of support, providing certainty that students WILL have the nourishment they deserve at school year over year. We extend our gratitude to every single employee and supporter at Hendrix. We say, 'it takes a village to raise a child,' and you truly model the spirit of this. Thank you for showing up for the potential of young people and being a longtime partner.

Food insecurity isn’t just about hunger—it’s about affordability and access. With rising prices and stagnant incomes, hunger is hitting our community harder, and 45% of kids now rely on school food programs. No child should have to worry about their next meal. Hendrix Genetics' generous support of our Keep Kids Fed at School program helps ensure children receive the nutrition they need to focus on learning and thriving. This partnership highlights the crucial role local businesses play in supporting the well-being of our community’s children.
