Meet Becca Mateer

Read on to learn more about Becca, Quality Specialist and her areas of expertise.

Becca is part of the Quality Assurance team that is dedicated to maintaining high standards in our operations. Based out of the Beresford hatchery, Becca regularly collaborates with the hatchery, farm, sales and tech teams to address the steps that go into egg and poult quality. She also coordinates permits with state and federal agencies for bird and egg movement, leads yearly training and is a key player in process improvement.

Becca says she loves to work with a variety of different people and departments, including colleagues from all over the world in the global QA team. "One day I’m working with app developers for our transportation system, the next I’m on a farm in South Dakota doing an animal welfare audit. Seeing how the entire supply chain comes together to get poults into barns and ultimately meat on grocery store shelves is incredibly rewarding.” Becca contributes a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in her role. When faced with challenges, she enjoys seeing the team come together to find solutions and support each other.

When she’s not working, Becca loves traveling, cooking, and in the summertime, out on the golf course enjoying the sunshine.

Thank you, Becca, for all that you do to keep our team and processes running smoothly!
