Meet Charlie de Hollander

Read on to learn more about Charlie and her areas of expertise.

Charlie is a new addition to the team as Director of R&D, but she has jumped in with both feet, getting familiar with the team and our customers. She has spent the last decade in the broiler industry working as a product evaluation specialist, geneticist, and head of global product acceleration.

But let's go further back to get to know Charlie…

Originally from Amsterdam, Charlie’s love for animals was the initial spark to start her journey in agriculture. She studied animal genetics at Wageningen University followed by a Master's degree in Australia. Charlie then joined Cobb’s European R&D team, and was initially involved in product evaluations, when a new opportunity as a geneticist took her to Arkansas. She remained in this role for seven years, before joining Hybrid Turkeys in September of this year.

Charlie’s expertise spans breeding programs and genetic gain, but she also values the social side of this work, especially collaborating with others. Her ability to connect with customers is a key asset, allowing her to build strong, transparent partnerships. "I understand the importance of honest communication with our customers", she says, "I get a lot of energy from working with others, and I look forward to connecting with everyone." She says if you see her around at an industry event, don't be shy – say hello!

Outside of work, Charlie loves activity and getting out in nature! Whether mountain biking the beautiful trails of Arkansas or hiking with her Pyrenees mix, she's always on the go.

We’re excited to have Charlie as part of our team and look forward to the positive impact she will make!
