New R&D Department Structure for Enhanced Product Development

One our biggest focuses for the coming years is enhanced product development for our customers. In order to dedicate renewed energy towards this priority, we are pleased to announce the following structural changes within the Research & Development department.

Nico Buddiger Appointed Director, Product Management

In order to provide further emphasis on Product Management and Product Development, Nico Buddiger has been appointed to Director of Product Management. Nico will provide in-depth knowledge on industry trends, customer needs and comprehensive product information. With over thirty years of experience in the industry and service within Hendrix Genetics, Nico is an important asset in steering our breeding program for the needs of the future.

Owen Willems, Appointed Director, Research & Development

With these new changes in effect, Owen Willems has been appointed Director of R&D. Owen began his career with Hendrix Genetics in 2012 and has worked in various capacities within the turkey, swine and layer businesses. Some of his key areas of expertise include breeding technology and feed conversion. In this new role, Owen will have full responsibility for all aspects of product development, the breeding program and will manage the full R&D team. His primary focus will be maximizing the speed of the genetic engine.

Owen and Nico will continue to work closely together to ensure a seamless transition and to maintain our high standard of excellence within R&D.
