Raising the Bar: Operations Team Delivers Outstanding Poult Start Results
We’re proud to share the outstanding results our North American Operations team has achieved in breeder poult starts. As a result of this team's dedication, innovation, and teamwork, we've seen exceptional results that are setting a new standard.
Across multiple farms and flocks, the operations team has been delivering a 7-day mortality rate averaging just 1.19% for hens, 1.29% for toms, and often achieving below 1%. These results are no accident. They’re the outcome of focused effort, strategic thinking, and a commitment to the same recommendations we deliver to our customers.
What sets this team apart is their proactive approach to problem-solving. They’ve implemented a series of thoughtful enhancements, including:
- Re-evaluating heater types for more efficient and consistent warmth.
- Standardizing temperature monitoring to ensure optimal conditions from day one.
- Use of ventilation tools to continuously improve barn climate.
- Focusing on a tight barn setup to minimize air leaks and maintain stable temperatures.
- Integration of hydration product to support early health and growth.
Each of these changes, while small on their own, has contributed to a significant overall improvement in poult health and performance. These results reflect the impact of the same recommendations we consistently share with our customers, driving success for them and for us.
