Highlights from Fort Lauderdale: NTF 2026

The NTF Annual Convention in Fort Lauderdale, FL, once again lived up to its reputation as a premiere event for the turkey industry. Bringing together producers, processors, and allied members, the week was a valuable opportunity to connect, collaborate, and look ahead to the future.

Throughout the week, our team had the chance to meet with customers and partners to engage in meaningful conversations about ongoing R&D investments and how those efforts continue to shape performance now and into the future.

Celebrating an Industry Icon

A standout moment of the convention was the recognition of Paul Hill, who was honored with the NTF Lifetime Achievement Award. This well‑deserved recognition celebrated a career defined by leadership, dedication, and lasting contributions to the turkey industry. Congratulations to Paul and his family on this important milestone.

An Evening to Connect: Sunset Social

One of the highlights of the week was our Sunset Social, where customers, colleagues, and friends gathered to unwind and connect while overlooking the Florida coastline. Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was a pleasure to spend time together outside the meeting rooms and celebrate the relationships that make this industry so strong.

Successful Programming and Leadership Transition

The success of the week would not have been possible without the efforts of the National Turkey Federation team. An engaging lineup of speakers and committee sessions were much appreciated by the attendees. During the convention, the NTF Board of Directors elected the Federation’s 2026 officer team and Executive Committee. Thank you to Jay Jandrain for his leadership and guidance as NTF Chairman through 2025. At the same time, we offer our congratulations to Christy Puffenbarger as she steps into the role of Chairwoman, becoming the first woman to hold this position in NTF history. We look forward to her leadership and the perspective she brings in the year ahead.

As the convention wrapped up, one theme was clear: the strength of the turkey industry lies in its people, its partnerships, and its shared vision for the future.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the week a success!
