Celebrating the success of our partners: Sopraval 50th anniversary
The success of the turkey industry depends on longstanding companies, such as Sopraval, based in Chile. It is companies like this that have paved a road of progress and innovation.
On a recent trip to Chile, members of Hybrid Turkeys presented the team at Sopraval with a framed turkey print to commemorate their 50th anniversary.
Sopraval began as a society of producers raising and marketing chickens and laying hens. Over time this group of small producers evolved into a family business led by Pedro Tomás Allende.
In 1982, industrial turkey breeding was introduced in Chile. Shortly after Sopraval became recognized as the largest producer of turkeys in Chile and one of the 3 largest in Latin America.
In 1996 Sopraval aligned with Agrosuper, the main agrifood company in Chile, and began distributing all of its products through the Agrosuper chain. By 2011, Agrosuper had become the sole controller of Sopraval. This partnership allowed for modernization and expansion of facilities and processes, which included the decision to have Sopraval become exclusively dedicated to the breeding, production and processing of turkeys.
Sopraval has been working with Hybrid Turkeys since 1984. Sopraval is dedicated to achieving the highest standards of quality and look to continuously improve their processes via technology and team training. This common vision has allowed both Hybrid Turkeys and Sopraval to grow and progress together.
The arrival of the 50th anniversary would not have been possible without the great team of committed and trained collaborators.
The collaborative approach between us and the team at Sopraval has resulted in some of the best performance on record. I congratulate them on reaching this milestone and wish them many more years of success.
