Chilean Turkey Producer Welcomed in the USA

We were pleased to facilitate a farm visit between our customers from Chile and the USA. This was a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and common interests between turkey farmers.

Enrique Marinao, Turkeys Livestock Operations Manager at Ariztia visited our growing and laying farms in Ipswich and the Beresford hatchery in South Dakota. Ariztia is a leading Chilean poultry producer with 130 years of history that produces broilers and turkeys for the Latin American market. We have been working with Ariztia for 30 years since their entry into the turkey industry.

While in the USA, Dawson and Lakeview Colony were kind enough to host the group for a tour of their barns. During the time together, the visitors and hosts discussed management, systems, and processes for raising turkeys.

These cross-cultural visits are valuable opportunities for our customers to learn and gain a wider perspective on their operations. Not only is the exchange of ideas beneficial for the individuals, but we believe that fostering relationships and increased transparency is a win for the turkey industry as a whole.
