Feeding the world starts with our community
Helping to solve the global food challenge is central to our company's mission. With high-quality animal genetics that are more efficient with every generation, we can secure a safe, worldwide supply of food while reducing our impact on the environment. It is a complex, multi-faceted issue, but our local charitable giving initiatives are an additional way we can address this challenge and make an impact in our community.
Each year, the team at Hendrix Genetics in Ontario, Canada runs a community giving campaign to support two local programs: Nutrition for Learning and Food and Friends. These programs work within the communities where our employees live and work to provide open access to nutritious food for students.
Through the generosity of our employees (together with a company match), we have raised and pledged $75,878 to our partners for the 2023-2024 school year!
This is truly an incredible achievement that will make a difference in our communities and help to nourish young minds. With growing food insecurity and the rising cost of inflation, student nutrition programs are needed now more than ever. Thank you to all employees who contributed!
I am amazed by our employees and their generosity. This result is proof of our employees' giving nature and close connection to the work we do every day to provide nutritious protein. Along with our partners, I am incredibly proud of what we have been able to accomplish together.
